Germany, Third Reich. An Order of the German Eagle, IV Class Cross, by Gebrüder Godet GTRexclude intact enamels and beads(Verdienstorden vom Deutschen Adler, Kreuz IV. Klasse). Instituted 1 May 1937. (1943 1945 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with enamels, consisting of a vaulted Maltese Cross, the obverse with white enameled arms joined through the quadrants by NSDAP style German national eagles clutching wreathed mobile swastikas on white enameled discs, the reverse with a wide barrel hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a rounded catch, the pinback maker
