The faces of this mallet are made of tough, long wearing, water buffalo rawhide. They're ideal for use on broad faced striking surfaces in a broad range of applications. The large nut at the base of the head actually unscrews and the head splits allowing you to swap out the faces. Six face types are available: rawhide, copper, urethane, nylon, Gar Dur
