It's crafted in 9 karat gold and dates from the latter half of the 19th century

some general wear / rubbing to the gold commensurate with age and use

Many of the old school (traditional) antique dealers would tag this with the "needs to be [stud] earrings this one" polarising take, for sure. We've kept it as is, in original brooch form, but I'd suggest wearing it on a mid weight gold chain
