This vigorous, dense growing groundcover hails from the lower part of the US, from North Carolina all the way to Oregon. For us, it's been evergreen in Zone 7b. Although it is usually found in moist soils, it's also amazingly drought tolerant. The butterfly attracting stalks of flowers are borne atop 1' tall
