It's an 8 channel splitter in a 1U rackmount enclosure, with one direct output and one transformer isolated output per channel. The passive design doesn't require power, but the direct outputs will pass phantom power for use with active microphones. Each channel also features a switchable ground lift on every channel to reduce noise due to ground loops, and an input pad to accommodate line level
